Equitable Pricing Model

At “What’s True Now?” Psychotherapy Practice, we are working on creating an equitable pricing model that aligns with our commitment to making psychotherapy more financially accessible to more people.  Toward that end, we invite you to opt in to working from an equitable pricing model.  If you are open to this, please consider the following questions to determine the rate that best fits your life and circumstances at this time.  You do not need to disclose the answers to these questions to your therapist.  They are only for you to guide your assessment about the fee that is accessible for you.  If you choose not to opt in to our equitable pricing model, your fee will be your therapist’s standard rate.

2024 Standard Rates
Kristin Miscall: $250 for 45 minutes/ $335 for 60 minutes
Monica Rose Smith: $185 for 45 minutes/ $230 for 60 minutes
Spencer Friedman: $175 for 45 minutes / $220 for 60 minutes
Henry MacConnel: $175 for 45 minutes / $220 for 60 minutes

If you are interested in reading more about this model, head on over to the “journal” section of this site for an excellent article by my colleague Georgiana Mora, LICSW.

The above fee ranges are for 45-minute appointments.  If you meet with your therapist for 60 minutes, your fee will be prorated based on the 45-minute fee you name.

If our lowest scale tier is still inaccessible to you but you have a strong interest in working with one of our therapists, please reach out to Kristin at info@kristinmiscall.com to discuss options.

If during your work with one of our therapists, your financial circumstances change thus permitting you to increase your rate without creating a hardship, please consider discussing this change with your therapist.  Likewise, if you find yourself struggling financially with your chosen fee, please also feel free to discuss this with your therapist.  We welcome these discussions and will meet them with the same compassion and care we bring to all our client work.

And finally, if you are able to pay a fee in the upper tier, you are engaging in generous collective care which allows others who do not have that same ability to access high-quality mental health care here at “What’s True Now?” Psychotherapy Practice.  This kind of collective care recognizes that we do not all have the same access to wealth, financial stability, health care, or self-care and by offering a higher fee, your generosity supports more equitable access for all.

Please bring any questions or concerns about your fee arrangements to your in-person work with your therapist.

Thank you for being a part of “What’s True Now?” Psychotherapy Practice. We are so happy you’re here!
